Morgan and James look like twins, but they are actually about a year a part. They wanted me to take some pictures of them for their mom for Christmas. They were great models...and it was freezing! The tricky part about this shoot was not making them look like a "couple". I think they turned out great and I know they were proud of these pictures!
I took these pictures a year ago, but I didn't have a blog yet and these are some of my favorite pictures. I love the art museum. I did a lot of work there when I was in school, I love to go to the movies there outside in the summertime, and I love taking Wick to walk around outside. The NCMA is really a cool place to take pictures. I'm actually planning on posting a few more shoots that I have done there that I haven't posted yet. It's neat to see how different the pictures turned out, even though they were at the same location. The other pictures in this post are at the warehouse district....another cool spot for pictures.
Sunday I met this sweet family at the beautiful Duke Gardens to take pictures Christmas cards/gifts. Amy and I had shot a wedding there earlier in the year, but I had never actually walked back to the terrace. It's a great place to take pictures, and I'll have to go back there again for sure. It was really cold, but baby Elyn did so well! You can tell Colleen and John absolutely adore her!
Rarely do people get to do what they love all day every day. I do. I get to take pictures for people... and spend my days with the cutest kid in the world...I know every parent thinks their kid is the cutest kid in the world...but mine really is. :) As he's gotten older, he has become my little friend that just comes along with me and keeps me company everywhere I go...When I think back on life before him...it feels empty...like something was missing all along. Ben, my husband, works for the City of Raleigh and is a musician...an amazing musician actually... We really enjoy playing music together. I still absolutely LOVE to hold his hand.
