Good Job, Ben Davis

Last weekend Ben and I went to the Colourslide/Silver show at the Pourhouse. Ben is always saying to me, "Take a picture of that"...so this time...I handed him the camera and told him to play around and take some pictures himself. Well, when he handed it back to me I have to say I was impressed. I said, "hhmmm...not bad....not bad at all!" He has a very artistic approach to taking pictures. I love the angles that he shot from and his attention to detail. I particularly like the ones of Pat with the light shining down on him. I like that he left the picture off centered so that you can see that light, which gives the picture balance. These pictures are also unedited. So this one is for you, Babe... I think Silver will love these pictures.

Grace and Ella part 2

Yesterday I finished up on Grace and Ella's pictures, and I wanted to post a few more. I love the color in the pictures, but I did a couple black and white, and I really liked them. I also added a blurry picture below (you know how much I like blurry)...I think it looks whimsical...and I've always said that Grace looks like a little fairy. The woman in the picture below with Grace is her grandmother. I thought that it was such a sweet picture...you can just see how much she adores her granddaughter and was just soaking up every bit of that hug.

Grace and Ella

These two babydolls are some of Wick's favorite people to play with...Grace and Ella. They are two of the sweetest children I have ever met...not to mention absolutely beautiful. They both have the prettiest eyes are were very easy to take pictures of. It was super hot out at the park that day...but the girls did so great. We actually went straight over to the pool afterwards to cool off. I took their pictures at the new Walnut St. park...where I will return from now own to take kids portraits...I loved how they turned out. The only thing is that we plan to go back with the whole family and take pictures in the evening...because there is some really cool things to play on for pictures....but were just too hot to touch that morning...
enjoy!!!

Ethan

This sweet little guy is Ethan Mullis. I call him the miracle baby because he has been through so much already in his short little life. He is amazingly strong though, and such a precious little boy. Everything they have been through has given them such a special bond between them. I loved going out to the Mullis home to take pictures to celebrate Ethan's life and their new family. These are a few of my favorites, and yes, I have quite a few because they were all so photogenic, I just couldn't choose which ones I liked best! We had a great time together and I wish everyone could have seen the "studio" we rigged up in their living room with a black sheet, step ladder, a lamp, and some clothes pins! Thanks to the Mullis family for giving me the opportunity to photograph your sweet family! I love you guys!
