I have absolutely come to love shooting fashion. I love the process of helping the designer figure out the best locations to model their clothes...and then working with the models to create poses that really show the clothing off. The girl in the picture above is Andrea Leah, an up and coming fashion designer in Raleigh. The location of this shoot was at Meredith College. The last couple of years, Andrea has studied and created fashion in Paris. She is extremely talented, inspiring, and creative and I had so much fun working with her. I wish her all the best of luck as she ventures out into the world of fashion...here are a few of my favorite shots...

Meet Emory Robert Petro. Ben and I are close friends with this whole family...we love hangin' out with Bobby and Katie, and Wick loves Emory! We decided Pullen Park would be a great spot for his two year pictures...and Emory did such a good job posing for the camera! I absolutely love it when he sticks his hands in his pockets...so I had to get a shot of that...he was making some of the funniest poses. I especially like how the black and white pics turned out. Emory is about to be a big brother...Katie is due with their second child in February. I can't wait to take some belly and baby shots...and I think a "I'm the Big Brother" shoot would be adorable... :)

Josh and Chesley

This weekend Amy and I shot a wedding in Johnson County. Ben and Wickham attended little miss Regan Quinn's first birthday party, which I hate I missed, but really enjoyed being at this wedding. I have to say...I'm glad this was indoors, considering it was the hottest day of the year!!!  This couple has been together since they were 14...glad I could be there to take pics when they finally got hitched...:) The brightly colored flowers looked great in pictures....and were perfect for the summer!  The harpist played beautifully...even though she dropped her dress in the toilet right before the wedding...

I wish Josh and Chesley all the best!!! :)

The Farmer's Market

Once or twice a week, Wick and I head to the Farmer's Market, one of our favorite places to go together. He loves to go and get samples of the berries, peaches, and melons...in fact as I push him in the stroller, he holds his hand out and signs "please"...:)  I love planning our meals around this wonderful local produce.  I grew up eating straight out of my grandmother's garden, and I can't wait until we can have one of our own. Kathryn and Casey came along with us last week.  Casey and I got some beautiful flowers to decorate with, and we picked up a few ripe tomatoes and made BLT's for lunch when we got back...soooo good!!!  I think I'm going to make stationary out of some of these pictures....

Ryan and Jenessa, Duke Gardens

Duke Gardens...man...was I excited when I heard we were shooting there! It is one of the most beautiful places to get married in the area. Ryan, the groom, cracked me up all day...and Jenessa, the bride, was so sweet and looked amazing. I love shooting along side Amy because not only is it a great learning experience, getting to watch another photographer...but I get to pay attention to details...which I love. These are a few of my favorite shots... I really like the photo of the bride putting on her little sister's earings...I love how she is holding on to her. I thought that the numbers on the tables representing important dates in their lives was really cool...and since the bride had too many friends to be in the wedding...she had them al sign the bottom of her heels....cute!!! Congratulations to this great couple!
